So let me tell you, there's a reason why you should have your trim settled before you embark on the jacket pattern.... because when you get to the end and find yourself without it... it will hold up the jacket's progress.
Last night was spent sorting through the fabric in my stash once again, and doing some sketching and thinking about the fabric with the ribs and Chanel and what the brand is known for.... all of this, for what was, and still is a practice version of this jacket.
I did some sketching... some of it too Shaparelli... too precious... then I finally settled on pearls and maybe some quilting or trapunto. What all of this means is that it will be put aside and worked on and not blogged about until there is progress... sorry about that but creativity has it's own schedule and I'm not going to mess with it.... which means you'll see it sporadically in future posts.
So I'm showing you some ideas for mining (you know who you are), but which I won't be using because they are intricate and impossible to duplicate. These are just too fun, I especially like how the black dress makes you look tiny because the bead work convinces the eye that the body stops along border of the beading... this is the kind of weight loss I'm talking about ;)

A wee bit over the top! I am thinking toreador, tablecloth, Moroccan floor tiles and my cousin. I am a very boring person.
I thought it looked like Versailles, with the gilt and flowers.
